A word from our Founder
I want to thank the people and organizations who work everyday to fulfill our program’s mandate. Black Women in Motion’s team is a small, yet passionate group of young people who are dedicated to producing powerful outcomes.
I’ve always been inspired by the potential in others and I am committed to spending my entire career developing environments that empower young people to create their own success because investing in our youth is more than a calling; it’s a responsibility.
Monica Samuel
Founder and Program Director, Black Women in Motion
The only thing I want out of this project is for young women to have greater love and respect for themselves and to realize their capabilities and redefine their personal best. I want them to embrace their potential.
By raising awareness and offering support through discussion, education, counselling, mentoring and advocacy, BWIM helps to build the self esteem and self-worth of young women there by changing their outlook on life, broadening their horizons and helping them to empower themselves.
We dedicate our lives to making a difference and are commited to building a legacy within the community that will empower young women for years to come.
