Black Peer Education Network
The Black Peer Education Network (BPEN) is a seven-month employment and training program for Black survivors aged 16 to 29 who reside in Toronto Community Housing communities or Toronto Neighbourhood Improvement Areas (NIAs). This program creates a supportive learning environment for youth to challenge and disrupt rape culture within the Black community. It encourages critical discussions about race-based and gender-based violence, examining both historical and contemporary contexts, with a particular focus on the experiences of Black women, children, and gender-diverse survivors.
